getting paint off center hubs

Hello

Anyone know how to remove paint off an axle house of a john deere. Just have some on the center hub, saw some guy say something about an acid they sell at home depot but it leaves a white film behind? Any ideas?

Wire wheel on an angle grinder, use a wire wheel of some sort on a drill for the tight spots. You can also use paint stripper (methylene chloride), but it is messy stuff and won't do anything for the rust under the paint. And you MUST get it all out of the cast or your new paint is guaranteed to lift.

I'm just taking the paint off the hubs its just the hub only its on since they were set all the way in. I'm not going to repaint it any color they really never had color to them. Any ideas on what to use to take off the paint?

You have an axle housing, an axle, and a wheel. Which are you talking about? JD wheels are yellow, the housing is green, I have never paid any attention to the axle since I don't work on them. Or do you mean the owner painted the tractor, did not move out the wheels and got overspray on them?
