A good quality paint gun

I am looking for a good quality paint gun for painting tractors. Which tips do I need for spraying self etching primer which is really thin, sealer primer which is sort of thick and final coat of paint. I am new to this and have only used a porter cable psh-1 paint gun. I have painted several tractors but always borrowed a paint gun, now I am looking for my own. Thank you for the help.

Although I don't use self-etching primer, it probably needs 1.3-1.5 mm, same as epoxy and topcoat. I use 1.5 for epoxy and 1.3 or 1.5 for topcoat depending on which gun I use. I also have a 1.0 mm tip in a touchup gun for small parts and it gets more use than my full size guns. High build primers and surfacers need about 1.8 mm. Surfacer sprays better with a large tip but it is not critical since it must be sanded.

sata is a real nice gun, we use them here at the shop, they will set you back 400 to 600 for a good gun. anest iwata also makes a comparable gun for a little less money. these will be gravity feed hvlp guns. you can either swap out tips like cnks suggested, or set up a second gun for primers ect. here at the shop, we have guns set up for clear, base, and primers. it is to avoid any cross contamination. if these are too spendy, napa has some pretty nice guns for less than half the money. be sure whatever gun you get has repair parts availabilty.
