Must for Rust Problem?

I have used MFR several times in the past with good results. I had an old loader frame , sheet metal. and some other parts sandblasted two weeks ago. I treated the parts with MFR and stored them inside. Now many of the parts have sections with a light reddish brown haze starting to show. I only sprayed down each part once but I sprayed them down heavily, waited 10-15 minutes and wiped off the excess. Anyone had a similar experience? Should I retreat?

It's hard to say without seeing it but it sounds like some surface rust to me. I would spray it down again and maybe let it just dry. Sometimes I just take a paint brush to work it in and spread it around. Then let it dry without wiping it down.

Thanks for the reply DScott, the parts were definitely starting to rust in some areas. I changed my technique when I retreated. I believe I saw this mentioned on this site or somewhere else on the net. I sprayed down the part then scrubbed MFR in using a scotchbrite pad. If there was any evidnce of rust left I retreated again until it was completely gone. Since the scotchbrite pad distributes the MFR evenly over the part there was no need to wipe them down. We'll see how this technique holds up. I guess I had been lucky before in the past.
