I have a Hinomoto E23 diesel tractor that has blown a glow plug. I read a message posted by "Burrhead" on Oct. 22,1999 regarding the hinomoto glow plugs being the same as a Yanmar, Iseki, and Shinbaura. He said according to "The Book" , but what book was he talking about? I would like to follow this up further, as I am having an extremely tough time locating a glow plug for my hinomoto tractor. It has a number on the Glow Plug of NGK 5Y, Y-805, 10bv. If anyone out there has any information on this particular problem please email me at Thanks.

I have some old Hinomoto books somewhere here that some things can be found in. I also have 3 grown sons and can't find my books today.

If I were in a hurry to find the glowplug your Massey dealer can cross out the glow plug for you.
Hinomoto in years gone by have made Massey, and some small John Deere tractors.

If you have a NAPA Parts nearby they can cross the number out if you tell them it's for a Massey Ferguson, or a Mitsubishi..
Don't tell Massey or NAPA it's a Hinomoto and they can find it under Massey, but they won't even look if they know it's a Hinomto.
