I bought a Beaver tractor this winter. I have been working on it the last few weeks and today I was putting the pulley on it and I shattered that asbestos ring and cracked the pulley.... Any idea wher I can get one? Does anyone out there have a manual for these tractors? Thanks in advance Paul Lavalette Newport Center Vt.

I have a friend who recently bought a Mitsubitshi tractor. The owners manual had a couple of other names on it. One name was Satoh and the other was Beaver. I did a search for Beaver and did not find too much, however when I search for Satoh, both names, Mitsubitshi and Beaver came up. I also found a site for tractor searches (www.prairielinks.com). I did another search here and found a dealer in Ohio who has a tractor listed as a Mitsubitshi Beaver Jr. There was a picture and number for add'l info. Hope this helps.

Baird Mfg in Connecticut (Stratford,I believe)
built the Beaver late 40's and 50's . I'm not sure when they stopped. I have a tractor but no manuals. In 1982 I spoke with a fellow in Stratford
who was a Beaver dealer years before. He was retired and had closed his business...but had a
couple of reversing discs left. Bought one..
should have bought them all!The gentleman was very familiar with Beavers, said Mr. Baird could not find a heavy duty enough garden tractor for
his needs ...so designed and built them. Dual
rear wheel units were very popular.Tiller steering
with out engine cover were later followed by steering wheel and tractor-style hood. I am thinking
about re-restoring mine also.I have some photos of tractor in 82 somewhat restored, will gladly
send them to you. Will post any additional info
as I get more involved this summer. Not much info... But there is hope!!

I have a baird tracto with the single handle stearing. it has a wisconsin engine and is in pretty good shape. it came with a garden plow, a snow plow, and a cultivator. I am looking for any information I can get. Need pictures, colors, anything to show me what it should look like. the belt guard has the word tractor still on it but the rest is faded. looks like it probably was gray at one time. the only thing that is missing is the breather on the engine. Any help would be appreciated.
