I'm approaching the end of the stripdown episode. Deutz-Allis models made for America did not have the external brake/park-brake setup in front of the axle like this europid model does.
I have two nuts on allen-keyed studs to strip but [i:9529a22b5e][b:9529a22b5e]I'm stuck[/b:9529a22b5e][/i:9529a22b5e]. They are totally rusted. The exploded parts page says these are SCREWS (#17) but they are nuts with what looks like a washer underneath.
What best approch to handle this horror? Obviously the park-brake drum has never been opened, maybe it was considered not necessary seeing that it's just a parking brake.
I have no torch to heat it. Am thinking of a chisel to split the nut if I can.
