Ended up replacing the one bad piston and put new rings on the other two. Honed the cylinders to get rid of some very light scratches and re-lapped the jugs to the heads. The cylinders still had about half their life left after measuring them with a bore gage. Didn't have to add any spacers under the jugs as the clearance still measured 1.2mm after lapping. Each jug already had 2 very thin spacers under them that I reused. All the head bolts were also still within specs.
Put it all back together yesterday.
