Long 350 Transmission/Clutch problem

Was shredding the pasture everything working great. Stopped to speak to my uncle. While stopped I had my foot on the clutch, engine was running, Independent PTO was turning, everything was normal until I let off the clutch and nothing happened, the tractor did not move.

There was no noise in the transmission, I stepped on the clutch and cycled through the gears and let out the clutch for each gear and no luck. Then I cycled through the gears without the clutch and there was no grinding of the gears as you would expect. I checked fluid level and it was a little low. Added fluid and went through the same sequence of the gears with no change.

It sorta seems like the clutch is stuck in the engaged position since when changing gears with engine running and without me stepping on the clutch there is no grinding.

So any trouble shooting tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you have the problem fixed. Been thinking about this and one thing that comes to mind, the throw out bearing carrier stuck forward, long shot for sure. Have you looked into clutch compartment while depressing the pedal, are things moving freely?

I haven't looked at anything yet. When the problem occured it was end of day and I left it in the field. Had to head home the next morning (ranch is 360 miles from my house). Will be heading back first weekend of May bringing all of my tools.

Basically I was looking for trouble shooting ideas or personal experiences with the same symptoms before I head back. I will take a look at the throw out bearing, thanks for the tip.
