Long 445 popping

I am looking to purchase a Long 445 tractor.
When I tried it out, I noticed, when I started moving, a popping noise in the left rear wheel. It seemed to only do it when I first take off. It also does it when I shifted to reverse and let out on the clutch. It would make the noise just when taking off. It didn't seem to make the noise while driving.

Any ideas? Lose wheel bad gear in the left wheel?

Thank you

Could be a wheel lugs or bolts where the center bolts to the rim, easy enough to check those out. Also there might be a bearing in the final drive going bad or the final drive might
not have oil in it and is running dry.

Ran into that on a Fiat Oliver, don't recall the size was a 3 cylinder one. Anyway, finally found slack in spider and axle gears, replaced thrust washers and all was well.

Thank you for the info. If it is in the gears, is this a hard and expensive fix? I can get the tractor for $2k the engine sounds strong.

Of course the cost would depend on the problem, and if you could find used parts. I sure would do some troubleshooting before tearing into it. Jack up the rear of tractor and see if there is any free motion and go from there. All wheel bolts tight? Wish I could pinpoint problem for you, but you will have to search it out.
