I have a Koyker Utv I'm working on electrical system. It has a 14 horse Briggs and ran good till it didn't . Short story, no oil, got hot, burnt stator and rectifier. Motor and compression somehow still good. Electric system not. Replaced stator and rec. Now Turning key on, amp gauge shows 20 amp discharge. Unhooked a bunch of stuff and can't find where current is going.
Does anyone know where I can find any info for these things? like schematics, parts, manuals?
 
you can try koyker manufacturing in south dakota. they havent made those for quite a few years. as for the engine i
think its a kohler not a b&s. seens to me there is an id plate on the shroud that is in a hard to see place. i think i
use to take the shroud off to get engine numbers to order parts it was easier than standing on your head with a
flashlight and mirror trying to read numbers
 
I'll call them Monday. I hope I do better than last time I called. They didn't seem to want to talk about the utv's. Someone around home said they had problems with the steering on them and had to suspend production due to liability or something like that.
I'm pretty sure the engine is Briggs. I bought 14 hp Vanguard briggs parts to fix it, and pulled the engine out to put them in
