Long fuel timing

I have a long 2460dtc sheet metal says. The tag on the side says 2052 anyway I put a new injector pump on number one cylinder won't fire I've checked timing checked rods rockers everything pump has letters a thru f Anyone know the correct way to time this tractors injection pump?

Isnt the pump drive "master splined"?? w/ a dowel in the front gear??
There is a timing line on the outside, on the pump mounting flange, that lines up w/ one on the block.
That is of course, if we're talking about a CAV DPA pump..
Gonna need some pump # to tell you what letter to line up for #1..
The BIG QUESTION IS> why did you change the pump??

If your PUMP # is 3832F051 its timed to letter "A"..
you must find out WHAT CAUSED the seizure before installing the new pump..
Otherwise you'll end up in the same boat.. the head is pressed apart & compared to a "seizure chart"
to determine the cause.. side thrust, contamination, plugged injectors, ect..
EASIEST THING TO DO IS> get the injectors checked before firing up the engine w/ the new pump..
