Pasquali question

HI all. I'm new to the forum and have a question that hopefully someone can help with. My son and I recently bought an old Pasquali 991 tractor to restore and use around our property. It runs great but does have one problem. The PTO speed selector lever seems jammed in the neutral position as it only rotates very slightly to the rear and the PTO does not engage. The shaft that drives the PTO spins, but there's no movement on the output at the rear of the tractor. Any ideas on where to start the troubleshooting?

I should add that the PTO does work in the synchronous mode...when it rotates with the drive wheels, just not in the independent mode...when it turns at either 540
or 760.

Has been a long time since I've worked on my 986, and then lost it in an out-of-state accident a couple years back. However, I still have the two original manuals that came with the tractor. Drop me an email (email is open in Modern View) and we'll figure out a way to get you a copy.
