any Belarus 250AS owners out there ?

Saw one for sale today for $2300, owner
said runs good, I'm not interested in it
at all but my question is does anybody
have one that still runs. For years I've
seen them sitting in the weeds in my
area, never seen one run, have never
personally known anybody that owned one
but was just curious as to why I see so
many non running 250AS tractors

No replies yet, must not be any more of them that still runs, always been curious about the longevity of a Belarus 250AS tractor, they must be short lived. About 25-26 years ago I stopped in twice at a used car lot that had bought into selling new Belarus tractors as a package deal, as I recall you got the tractor and 5 pieces of equipment for about $6000 then, at the time I was sort of interested in one and both times I stopped by we could couldn't get one to crank, each time I was told that old so and so is gone to lunch or he's off today, apparently the salesmen were not ambitious enough to make a sell or knowledgeable at all about the tractors, I'm reminded of my two visits there everytime I see one sitting in the weeds, lol....

My brother in law has one not sure about the "S" on the end. Been a decent tractor just air cooled he only uses it to bush hog with.
