I moved back in october and inherited a 49 model d that i asked the previous owner to leave. First of all, i dont have any experience with tractors at all. I am pretty mechanically inclined though. It looked to be running recently. Three of the tires are shot, along with the rear rim, it needs a new battery, coil and new ignition switch since there is no key fer it. My plan is to try my best to restore it. I looked around on the internet and tried to find out as much as i could. So far theres not a ton of info i could find. My main concern is trying to find the right size rim fer the rear. They did cover up the exhaust pipe with a glass bottle so the engine must still be working. I was going to try to spin it first to see if it moves freely, then from there replace the coil amd hook up a battery amd install a new switch. After all that if it runs i will look into finding the tires and rims. What else should i be looking fer to inspect in general?
