1930s David Bradley manure spreader

Hi all

We purchased this manure spreader from the original owner about 17 years ago. It's always been stored in a barn, and is all original. It still works, and I believe the only thing that has been replaced is the rubber tires. ?Any ideas on value? Or where I could find out? We never use it and it just takes up room. I'd like it to go to someone who would value its "antique-ness"

We're in central Indiana.

I think you are a few years of on that age as it is from the early 50's or possibly late 40's but it is not from the 30's. 75 bushel size.

Your right on the 1950s. Dad bought a new one just like the one picture in the 50s.

That spreader is in the mid 50's Sears farm catalogs I have.

I bought this New Idea spreader (around 1930's) for $600. Just yard art but I like it. Central California.

Cannot tell from picture if it is a No. 9 60 bushel size or a No. 8 70 bushel size, But here a spreader of that type in condition to what it looks like will retail for daily use at over a thousand and as hard as they are to find it hurts us to see one set out for yard art. Very poor models are being rebuilt for use as nothing new that can compair to them can be bought. This includes bending new angle iron steel frames. And all new wood tho a lot are now replacing the wood with plastic. Just was told by dealer I by for on a Deere (not as desireable as New Idea) if the spreader stored in barn at auction in a week if in working condition to go to $1,100 then dealer has to put my hauling and time at auction on top before he gets anything so the price would jump to $1,400 on his lot. They have to have the 4 wheels and still be on steel.

If it was the 4 wheel version and close the people I buy for would be after it. But it would have to have the front axle and yours from what I could see is a tractor model spreader.
