Here's what I found out:
This tractor was built in the 1950's by Detroit Agricultural Machinery and Industrial Tractor (D.A.M.-I.T.).
It is a light-duty forklift and was known in the factory's nomenclature as a model "F.U." ("Forklift, Utility") and was derived from their "W.T.F." ("Wide Tread, Farm") line of agricultural tractors.
It is powered by a Hercules "BXB" 2 cylinder engine and the 2 stage mast is rated to lift 600 lbs. of iron or 2 tons of feathers to a height of 10 ft.
