A friend has a 30-60 keck. It's i n excellent shape but
is hard to start and runs rough. The engine does not
have many hours on it and was working fine but
itvsat for a while now we have this going on. I
suspected stuck valves but I pulled the valve covers
and can't see anything wrong when turning over by
hand. Carb and mag have both been gone through.
Any ideas? Got good compression at least by feel.

My father has a Keck 30-60 he restored years ago and has sat for 20 years. We are now re-restoring and would love to see pictures of yours. We are having trouble starting ours to be sure it will run before we take it apart to repaint it. We also have a piece on out intake manifold that we can't seem to see on any other pictures of a 30-60.

I'll see what I can do. This is a friends tractor. Was his
grandfather's till recently. He passed at 102. He drove the Keck
off a rail car when they bought it new. It has original paint
bill of sale shipping invoices and the oil can the salesman gave
them when they bought it. Oh yes and its serial number makes it
#1. You can't make this up lol. I'm thinking I know what you're
talking about with the intake. Like I said will try to get a pic.
