am buying long 2460 , tractor data .com list it having live PTO which means 2 stage clutch operation . Yet on the floor a ( lever) name plate reads independent / ( ground synchoious) meaning at turns the PTO only as the tires speed or so). Help me learn the truth . Lever turned to independent side do I have a separate clutch controlling the mechancial- independent PTO using a separate on /off selector and in additional PTO control lever< I have not seen> . OR is it Hydraulic-independent PTO using the single lever< at I have seen> ? :roll: Go to sale Monday David :roll: :roll: :roll:

Should be a hand clutch lever to the left of trans shifters, down is engaged. To use 540 pto: lift clutch lever, select independent(to the left) with lever you refer to, and lower clutch handle. Never leave clutch handle up for very long as can lead to crank thrust bearing issues. Works about as good as any.
