What size front tire was used on early B F Avery A with artillery style wheel?

I have seen them with both 15 and 16" wheels, mine is 16". If you are thinking of using a single rib tire, rely on height measurement rather than tire size. Some tires such as 6.00 x 16 may not fit height wise.

Probably a 5.50-16.

Mine has a 6.00-16 Wards Riverside on it. It is a close fit.
