Long 360 Clutch

Hello. I was a member here back in the 90s when I first got into Ford tractors. I sure got a lot of good advice, and it set me on a path to return lots of old tractors to regular use again, and I'm thankful for that. I need some help with another tractor, bur for the life of me I couldn't remember my old username, so I just re-registered.

A neighbor of mine has a Long 360. It has a 2 stage clutch on it, and he split the tractor to replace it. He got a clutch kit, took it apart, threw out the old parts and now can't get it back together. He asked me for help. There is a set of 6 pins that came with the new clutch. He swears that identical ones came out of the old setup, but I sure don't see where. The manual he has shows no reference to them. From the pics you can see that they don't look like the fit in any locating holes. Any idea what the story is? Any help, suggestion, insults or abuse is entirely welcome.
Joe
