Roof Ranger Riding Lawn Mower

Recently inherited a Roof Ranger lawn mower that has two thin wheels on that back that look a lot like bicycle tires and one small fat tire on the front. If anyone has any information on these lawn mowers that would be great. Would love to restore but having a hard time finding any information out about them. Where to get parts? About a year frame? Where to get decals? Actual colors? Any history would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Used to be a Roof dealer, good mower, but no dealer support from distributor or factory. It's design is based largely on other mowers made in those years. Yazoo and Snapper. They went belly up in the late 70's or early 80's I believe, Almost no parts available for them. They had one very desirable model called the palomino which looked like a miniature Jeep.

I just did a search on the Roof Ranger mower,and there seems to be some information out there. One party had a manual for sale. Even had a photo of your mower. It is kind of an unusual design, but when you get into older mowers, you find all types.
My computer uses Bing. Either that or Google should bring up the information menu. Good luck!
 
Thanks for all the information. I have been on the Internet for what seems like a week now and I can find pictures of the roof ranger but not a whole lot of info about them. The engine was made in 1964 so I'm assuming the mower is also a 1964. If the motor is the original one. Most of the pictures of them that I have found the decals are not in the best shape which also unfortunately mine due to weathering the decals are either missing or unreadable. Would love to find the color it should be painted and decals. The metal of the motor is in descent shape just needs a good sand blasting and paint job. Thanks again for all the information. Kayla
