Satoh 650G starter mounting bolts size ???

Can anyone tell me the size of the two starter mounting bolts on a Satoh 650G tractor? Probably 10mm or maybe even 8mm? Length too if you have that info. The tractor isn't handy to me and I am going to go out to try to get this starter mounted up for the owner (somebody took it off and lost the bolts) but the mounting bolts aren't there.

I'm going to buy a number of metric bolts both 8mm and 10mm with a variety of lengths, one size will be correct. Like I mentioned, I'm not handy to the tractor. If it were an 8mm bolt, then it must be a shoulder bolt where the top of the bolt stem at the hex end is a bigger diameter, the holes in the starter (which I have here at home) mounting flange would be for a 10mm bolt, an 8mm would be too loose of a fit. I'm guessing 10mm and will find out once I get there.

Look around first. Find one that fits, perhaps from the trans area or the side of the steering box. Use that as a guide.

I did that ..... from the hydraulic setup under the seat. It is a 10mm metric fine thread (not sure of the actual pitch dimension) X 40mm in length (1.5"). I robbed two for the starter and will get some replacements for the hydraulics.

Glad it worked out. I'm working on one here. Took the loader off and will scrap it because it's in very poor condition. Tractor will be my new lawn mower for the back 40 with a 60" woods finish mower.
