International Harvester 46 square baler repair

Ok the loader on my 46 will turn for a while, maybe one bale, and then lock up. It is a chain drive with a clutch system. So I decided I had a bearing problem. I have everything loose but can not figure out how to disconnect the loader from the baler on the drive train end. Any suggestions?

At the risk of sounding too obvious, If the pickup is in the transport position, The drive (flat) chain will catch on itself. The slip clutch may be loose. Also look at the pick-up teeth to see if any are bent up under the fingers or if something is wedged in the pickup reel. It"s been a while since I used an IH baler, But those were some of the problems I encountered with those symptoms.

Thanks Dave. I did find a bent tine sticking in the pickup reel and I bought new bearings for the tine rollers. I am putting it back together this weekend.
