Federal Tractor?

I need help. Found this tractor(?)adapted into a cotton stripper. Has a flat head 6 cylinder engine.

My uneducated guess is that the engine and running gear have been put on a "shop built" tractor-cotton stripper.

I have numerous pictures available if anyone can help me out. Email me if you can.

Thanks.

Just noticed your post (don't get into site very much).
I'm fairly certain what you have is a Federal truck radiator (if that medallion says Federal), engine etc., pretty much as you guessed.
Federal was an "assembled" truck; the engine's most likely a Herc, altho they also used Cont'l and an occasional Wauk. Don't know if Federal left the makers ID tag on their blocks or not.
Put a clear pic of the radiator (if it says 'Federal') on aths and a pic of the engine and someone'll pin it down for you.

Only one pic came thru...
Sorry, my limited knowledge of these is 99% from the printed page, so I can't help with pix.
Put it/them on one or more of:
aths (American truck Historical Society??)
The Antique Car/Truck forum at smokstak (no typo);
justoldtrucks.com
Any of the three sites should get you quick replies, either a definite ID or what to look for to get a definite ID.
You might mention if you're looking for ID to part out or to resurrect. Good luck.
