Gibson A Tire Sizes

Please tell me the tire sizes for the rears and fronts for a 1946 Gibson A. I had all that information but a forest fire in 2011 destroyed it all, including the tires of the Gibson. Thanks to all who respond.

I looked it up on TRACTOR DATA.COM and the sizes they gave were Front 4.00x12 and the rear 7.50x16. I have a Gibson D and I believe my rear tires are 24 inch. Not sure right now.

Larry, I just got a minute to check my D Model and the rear tires are 7x24. I believe mine to be a 1948, though not real sure of the year. I'm don't have a real clear picture in my mind of a model A. What part of the country are you from? I'm in the northeastern part of Pennsylvania.

Thanks for the information. The Model A was the first model produced. Mine was a 1946 and had the AEH Wisconsin engine. There is also a serial number on the end of one of the main rails but no one seems to have any corresponding years for those. I used the serial number of the Wisconsin to date mine.

I am in southeastern Arizona, about 35 miles southwest of Tombstone and 6 miles from the Mexican border.

When mine was functional, it could out pull any garden tractor on the market, even the ones with 20 horsepower.
