I think I have a 18c Hydra Mac skidsteer and am changing the hyd fluid and filters, do I have to use dextron 2 transmission fluid or can I use Hytran instead? Looks like that is what was in it but want to be sure |

| I have a early 1980s prime mover skid steer. Finnally located manuals for it. The manuals say the hydraulic system uses 9 gallons of se/sf 10-40 engine oil. The prime mover looks a lot like the hydra mac. I can look in my manuals and see whatbkind of pump is in it. I think it is a sunstrand. |

| Hydra-Mac made the 4100 series IH skid steers if that makes it easier to find the specs., etc. Hydra-Macs don't use a chain drive, it is all gears in the side cases. I've never heard of using Dextron in a skid steer but I'm sure there would be a skid steer forum where someone would have a Hydra-Mac manual or information on them. |

| Doe the manual recommend a specific brand? Hytran would be my choice. Hal |
