Long- final drive

My Long 360, purchased new in early 1978, is leaking lube at the right hand final drive. Feeling with my hand, it seems to be at the gasket where the final drive bolts together rather than at the axle shaft. Removing the wheel is necessary for careful inspection and repair. The tire has liquid ballast plus there is a wheel weight. I cannot handle those alone anymore.
Anyone experienced this condition before on this tractor? Can I expect loose bolts on the final drive cover? Damage to the bolts or cover? Looks to me as if the bolts must hold the full stress placed on that side of the rear axle-- which could be quite a lot.
GEOK used to frequent this forum and was quite experienced on these tractors.
Your help is appreciated.

Another leak source could be the stub axel shaft seal. In any case you will need to remove the wheel and any weights and seperate the final drive housing.

When I feel in the area of the shaft with my fingers, there is no lube there. Just along the parting line that the gasket is supposed to seal.

Found the problem. The final drive housings are the same for both sides, but one is flipped over for the other side, top to bottom. A hole on one side used for the vent and the other hole is used for the sway chain bracket with a stud in the hole rather than a vent. Used just the opposite on the other side. The sway chain stud was loose. The built up crud from the leak hid the source of the leak. Started cleaning it preparing for repairs and found it. 24mm socket solved the problem within moments.
