Does the 251 & 265 Chrysler flat head have the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing?? Thanks Earl

Not a big expert but we have a 230 in a Custom, and a 265 is supposed to be a bolt in deal. They made a 413-6 cyl- flathead. don't know if it is the same, probably not. Vic

If you are asking about "Chrysler Industrial"
the engine to bellhouseing bolt pattern, and thread size are the same..but bellhouseing to
transmission pattern could be different as these
industrial engines were made to different
customers applications. Also, there are SAE,
(Society of Automotive Engineers) Standard,
bellhouseings, SAE#1,SAE#2, etc..see an SAE
handbook for deminsions. (Library,or Google)

I am checking for a friend. I haven't looked at them. The 251 was in a Wards tractor (locked up) & the 265 (good running} is in a old mobile crane set up on LP . Thanks Earl
