farmall c transmission oiler gear

Looks like I need to replace farmall C transmission oiler gear because it is loose, moves out of positon. and knocks on the reverse driving gear. Oiler gear looks like the first part down the assembly line, with the tractor built around it. Need an easy way to pull the driveshaft to the differential so I can get it out. Any answers?

I do not believe there are easy answers to your question. The gear has a history of failure and the new ones cost radically. The blue ribbon manual for repair would be my choice. If it were mine I would have a new one made from higher strength aluminum, or steel. They do not transmit power, so dimensions are not critical. Jim
