Any thoughts of what a Sheppard SD-3 wide front might be valued at? I see one coming up for auction near me thought I might see if it can be bought. I assume this one is running good. Overall good looking unit.

Let us know what it goes for. I have been looking for one just as a namesake tractor.

Spelled same way as my last name.

Hard to say at an auction, would depend on the crowd, what part of the country, how well advertised, and condition.I would think 3500-7000k,never know at an auction, esp. if 2 people want it bad.The SD-3 is the more common of the Sheppards, but still rare. The wide front is somewhat rarer on Sheppards, but I have an SD-2,3 and 4 and mine are all wide fronts.Good luck, let us know what it brings.

If it runs...I would suspect that if collectors
get word of will go high!
I've seen lots of Sheppards...never seen a wide
front model.

Those tractors were made not far from me in PA. Our neighbor had one and was the first diesel tractor in the area back in 1955 when I was discharged from the Army. Hal
