dad just past & left mom a 3400 Ford tractor. i have seral number off tractor. how do I find out what year it is?

you on your Industrial tractor. They will need the serial number of the tractor. Hal

The serial number is stamped into the top edge on right hand - front of transmission; it is on a horizontal machined face about 3 inches rearward of block - transmission joint. There should be 3 groups of numbers; - serial number, date code and tractor model(in code). The serial is the longest starting with a * then B or C and then 6 digets. The "B" signifys - Basildon (United Kingdom) built > "C" " - Michigan ( U.S.) built. Here in Canada a lot of "dealers" do not pay attention to the B - C and year comes out wrong . Date code wil define year-month-day-shift it was built on; an example 6D21B.
