Earthmaster/continental motor Part

How critical is the oil slinger on the N62 motor? I put mine in backwards and smashed it when I put the crank on. Can I just beat it out and reuse it (maybe not perfectly flat at the big side and not quite equal all the way around) or am I going to have to replace it?

Thanks.

I would think you could hammer it back to close and it should work I think its in there to get oil on to the cam gears etc so a few wiggles may make it work as good or better(?) If you end up needing another one I have one I'd part with.

Email is open if you want to shoot me a price. It banged out ok, but looks a little funny.

Thanks.
