long 360 clutch

The clutch seems to be slipping on my Long 360 after it gets hot. Does anyone know the correct way to adjust the clutch?? I"m hoping that is the problem. It is a 1979 model with about 1400 hrs.

For starts do you have pedal free play? 1 inch, don"t remember exact number. If not adjust the linkage till free play is ok. Looking into clutch housing, cover removed, should be 1/8" clearance between release bearing and pressure plate fingers. More can be done if free play can"t be adjusted to get clearance but thats a different story.
