oil leak

can any one tell me why my 445 long is leaking oil out of breather tube--ive cleaned tube, still pors out tube lost 4 qt.-about 10 min. lost all oil pressure. thanks

I have exactly the same problem with my 610. The engine kicks up such a mist of oil next to the breather port, that it simply overwhelms the breather. I have another 610 that does not have this problem. It can't be a worn engine, because not only does the motor have less hours than the motor that doesn't do this, it runs like a top and makes less blowby.

I changed the oil filler cap to a breather cap, but it didn't fix it. I think I'll close the breather hole and only vent the blowby through the oil filler caps.
