Centaur AG48?

I just got a Centaur / le roi AG48 it has a 3 pth with a hyd front mount pump it also has the hyd resivoir mounted on the fender could anyone please tell some information on this model tractor for i"am having a hard time doing so .thanks
 
Uhhhhh...with all due respect, it might be helpful to know what kind of info...history?? prod numbers?? maintenance?? overhaul?? parts?? adjustments?? other??...
 
The AG48 was just the last in a series of the Central Tractor/Centaur/Leroi tractors..At the end of production apparently LeRoi obtained controlling interest in Central Tractor Company of Greenwich Ohio. it was the same tractor as the KV48 Road Mower / Utility Tractor except it had a Monroe Hydraulic 3 point hitch system added on above the rear differential ..this was the same system sold for the willys jeeps after WW2.. The front grill would be cast and say LeRoi instead of stamped grill like the Centaurs..The engine would be a 140cu in LeRoi.. There is some relationship between LeRoi Engines and the Buda/Allis Engines.. some parts will interchange depending on model... I owned one for a while and the engine ran like a watch.. They were not much for traction with the little 24" tires.. the rearends could be weak if abused..they contained Ford 1 1/2 ton rearend parts.. Where are you located?? this could be my old tractor since there weren"t many AG48"s made...
 
It"s my understanding that the Allis-built LeRoi"s were the 201 and 226, reportedly the same except LeRoi used their own water pump (subject to correction).
 
Thanks alot that was very helpful . I m located in Ontario Canada I bought it about 4 weeks ago at an auction sale. apparently the guy said they are a very low production number machine is this true ? i beleve mine is an 1949 .
 
I Had a 1948 or 49 until it was stolen a few months ago.....Was a fine Tractor That my Father bought new...Would love too See Pictures etc. for the Memories....Thanks,,,,John....MyPhone is 919-872-8610
