I went back and looked at it again and the number on the right hand rear frame is R 6288. I looked up MN serial nubers and none match. Any ideas. From what I have learned it is a probaly a BF.

That number DOES fit the numbering system used by avery/moline. The avery list shows starting number not ending number, so your tractor fits the end of the avery run. maybe a 1953 or 1954. Moline restarted the numbers and made them fit their own numbering system so they look differant. I have seen differant lists of the tractors made and they are not all the same for this tractor.
