Cockshutt (Brantford built) 550 diesel injection pump

I am working on a Cockshutt built 550 diesel.

The injection pump is an American Bosch PSB4a. The hydraulic head is a counter clockwise rotation with an 8mm plunger.

The plunger in the hydraulic head is twisted off.

If anyone has one, or has any suggestions where I might find one. I would really appreciate the information

Thanks in advance

I feel you pain. You (like many of us) have learned the foibles of the
Bosch PSB pumps. The head being twisted off is unfortunately not
uncommon. Parts are pretty hard to come by. Thankfully a lot of tractors
used the PSB4A pumps, so you may find a good one in a wreckers.

I'd post this question in the, 'Restoration and Repair Tips' section of
these forums as a general question about Bosch PSB pumps. There's a chap
called DieselTech who keeps an eye on those threads and he knows all
about rebuilding and checking the PSB pumps.

Hi, I saw your post and I have a 1961 Cockshutt 550 diesel and had the pump off, my pump is the older style model with the spring clip that hold a
button in place and the spring clip broke and threw the timimg out and would not run.
The newer style is like on both my 570 supers but there 6 cylinder heads on the pump so you need to find out which style head you have first,
the 4 cylinder psb pumps are really hard to find and I would like to have a spare.
If you can get on Agco parts books you can look it up and see the differences I am talking about and it s really hard to find pump shop with
somebody my age [73] that will work on them, email me back if you have more questions
