Early 880 clutch fork replacement

Hello,
Have managed to wear out the clutch fork so that it no longer moves the bearing housing forward to disengage the clutch.
There is no power booster, so some room behind the bellhousing.
Will I need to remove the bellhousing and clutch cross shaft to replace the fork, or can it be serviced in the tractor?
Thanks.
