Trying to fix/update stuff. Found spring compressed by the High Speed Load Adjustment screw. Took spring out and screwed screw until it bottomed out in main jet. Whoa! Bottom of thumb head is just below the cast iron and just a hint of space under the head from bottoming out in the countersink hole.
High Speed Load Adjustment screw measures 3 1/4" from tip to top of thumb head.
Turned out by the manual 3 1/4 turns. Won't without being choked. Started turning out 1 full turn until it ran without the choke. Tried mowing and it seems starving for gas. So, I turn screw out until it ran great - 11 1/4 turns out. Is this right?
Ain't no way any spring would work for the load screw.
