Oliver 77 oil pressure

My neighbor has a 1950 Oliver 77 that we use regularly for baling on my hobby farm. The engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago. The oil pressure has always shown in the medium-to-high range on the gauge until yesterday, when it started showing somewhat low. Here are some questions:

1) Since the oil pressure gauge may be defective, does anyone know the correct pressure in pounds per inch when the engine is warmed up and running at regular RPMs?
2) Is the oil pressure adjustable in this model of tractor? My neighbor's owners manual does not seem to address this.
3) Any suggestions on where to rent a calibrated oil pressure gauge?

Thanks for any help!

John

I'm no expert but they're a low pressure system. Under the generator there is a hex plug with a spring that some stretch. It may need replaced. Also it seems there is a tube that rises up into the oil filter that sometimes gets lost as they come loose. Hope that helps. Wish I had a better memory.
