High priced 2-105

I was just checking the results from an auction here in Michigan from Thursday. There was an 82 2-105 FWA, open station, hours unknown, said has some leaks. I saw a picture, it was far from pristine. It brought $14,000.

Same auctioneer sold three 4020 Deeres the next day for $4800, $5750 and $9250, so we can't just say high priced tractors. There was a dealer reduction and consignment sale a few weeks ago and a 2-85 open station two wheel drive brought $5000. The FWA on the 2-105 must have made a huge difference.

Large fwa Olivers/Whites always bring decent money. I'm surprised it only brought $14k but given it's leaky and open, could be right in the ballpark after fees.

It was a farm auction with no premium, so what they bid was what they paid. Being an 82 WFE probably helped too.

That tractor is a collector item. Find another '82 FWA without a cab. One of the last ones made, they made 110s in '82 also.

Around here that would be a good deal. They are asking more for 2 wd with 6000 plus hours on kijiji right now. Some 6 or 7 years ago now I was bent I was going to buy a real nice low houred 2wd at an estate auction. It was a pristine tractor, even air conditioning worked. I quit bidding at 14000. It went to 20k! Nowadays it would probably bring much more. Course these are Canadian dollars I am talking about. When you think about the dollar difference right now there are probably a lot of our tractors heading across the border. You could probably buy that 14000 tractor here for not much over 10 US

All the auctions up north here have converted to online format. Are there any live auctions in the USA? Its driven older equipment prices in Western Canada as well as put a premium on newer iron. My guess is old tractor prices are double to triple from 5 years ago.

This auction was live on site yes. It was Simulcast online too. I dare say we're still 50% live here, depending on the auctioneer. The one that had this sale didn't have more than three or four online only this year.

I'm not at all surprised at the price. It's not perfect but it's not beat either. And if the hourmeter is still operational, less than 5k hours is great.

Looks to me like it originally had a cab and it was removed and fenders added. That hurts it for collector value since it wasn't a factory open
station.

In my area (Virginia) many are going on line for tractors and equipment probably 75% on line.On line is definitely getting the more money so consigners are going online.Went to an on site consignment auction yesterday, rain wind, waited til 3 PM only to get out bid, liking on line better all the time.

She's been around the horn a time or two. Three different dealer decals. One from Willards there in West Branch, they're a New Holland dealer, former Ford dealer. One from Summerix, an unoficcial AC dealer. I can't make out the other one, but it's most likely the original dealer that sold it new.

I bought a bull online two weeks ago. Had every intention of going to the sale, even had the truck gassed up. It snowed overnight and the cold wind and lake effect snow were blowing like crazy that day. WHen you get there, they don't run them through the ring anymore. You're at the bull test facility so you can walk out and look at them, but when they sell, they just show them via video on screen. I said to heck with it. Why drive 35 miles in the snow and cold, sit in a half heated facility and bid on something on screen when I can do it right from my recliner. I had to take a load of fats on Monday anyway, so I paid for the bull and hauled him back home after I unloaded the fats.
