Oliver 1650 Hydraulic Leak

I am having a hydraulic leak on my 1650 that is coming from the tube that houses the 3 point lift control shaft. It protrudes from the RH side, under the seat and is coupled to the 3 point lever with a double threaded linkage.

How do I fix this leak? Is there a seal on the 3 point lift control shaft? How would I fix it and how big of a job is it. Looking at the tech manual, but it is not very helpful.

Thanks,
Trace

There is an O-ring on the inside. You have a parts book? Have the unit a little low on oil and remove the seat and then the top cover. More question? Send me an e-mail. It probably been 45 years since I did one, not a bad job.

I went all through my 1550 unit (same thing) and replaced all the O-rings. As John said, take the valve unit off and disconnect the threaded link. The inner end of the rod is connected to the first arm of the control linkage with a small groove or roll pin. Knock the pin out and pull the rod out of the sleeve. You'll see the O-ring. Be careful, the pin is small and remember which way the outer lever faces.
