White 2-155 park

White 2-155, early model.
Parked tractor late last fall and all was good, went to move it and it won't go into any gear. Shift lever moves freely through the nuetral positions and side to side but won't drop into gear. The park lever
does not come all the way back, it is about 1/2 inch away from touching the counsel, I don't remember if it was always this way or not. I jacked up one side, and wheel spins with park lever back and locks when
park lever is ahead. I noticed where the park shaft goes into the top of the transmission, it moves up and down a bit. I have never wiggled on it before if this is normal or not. Any ideas on what is going
on? Thanks for any help or information.

I hope it's not the same thing that happened to my 2-135 last year. There's a bolt that holds the latch to the inside of the transmission case and that broke on mine.

I wonder if something's just out of alignment on yours though? There are two notches in that rod that pulls up and down that have to be lined up before your forks can move. With the floor pulled up,can you move that rod up and down just a little while you try to shift it to see if they'll line up?
