A question an tractor talk and my reply got me to thinking. What are the product line letter designators for the parts? I remember that "K" means first used on 88, "B" was 70, "L" was 66 I think, and I think "M" was 77, but I don't remember the others like "H", etc.

A was used for the 90-99 series. If the prefix was the number 7 such as 7A it was in the Super 99 area and the 7 was from South Bend plant number 2. H was for the 60 row crop tractor The letter D F & J were used on the standard 60 70 & 80 models. I might not have those in the correct order I will need to look.

A was for the 28-44, 90-99, Super 99 and early 950-995 plus the 44-50-99-900 Industrials,

B was for the 70 row crop and the 70 row crop Industrial.

C was for the Standard Row Crop, 18-27, and the 80 Row crop.

D was for the 18-28, 80 Standard, and 18, 28 and 35 Industrials.

E was for the Super 55's.

F was for the 70 Standard, as well as the 25 and 70 industrials.

G was originally for the first off set tractors. It never was assigned to a production tractor.

H was for the row crop 60.

I wasn't used. It was to easy to confuse with the number 1.

J was for the 60 Standard and Industrial.

K was for the 88 series.

L was for the 66 series.

M was for the 77 series.
