Super 77 oil pressure

Earlier I posted about oil pressure on a super 77.J mentioned it could be oil filter relief valve. Could someone explain what is meant by this. I can't seem to connect with J to have him explain it. Thanks

Relief valve is on the right side below the generator. Sometimes the spring gets weak. You can pull it out and give it a little stretch or try to replace it.
Before you do that you should make sure you pressure line is clear and you have the proper guage. They do not run much pressure.

have replaced the spring and plunger with new ones f5om Arco. I know they only run aboutb12 to 18 pounds of pressure . J is talking about an oil filter relief valve at the oil filter. Can't get my email to work to send him an email. Sorry

To email J you have to be on classic view. I have had trouble emailing him too.
Did you pull your oil filter? They have a tube that goes up the center. They are known to become misplaced. I think sometimes they come out with the filter.

That's about all I know other than checking the pick up screen and pump.
