Local pawn shop is having a auction this weekend they have a 1600 diesel that been on the lot for at least 4 year is it worth anything over scrap?

Yes or no. Give a little more info as to condition, running or not, engine stuck or not, etc., and we can narrow that answer down.

It has set in the same place for 4 year wide front end rough to say the least. Will try to post some pictures.

I can say if you can tell its a 1600 its worth more than scrap,I have a 1600 Utility gas runs and looks good I gave $2200 for a couple years ago and thought I got a bargain I was ready to run it to at least $3500.

1600's are great tractors, could be one of
the top ten Oliver's ever made. I would
think its worth more than scrap. It may
just need some work to get it up and
running again. More info and pics would
help determine that. 1600 diesels are not
as popular as the gas version. Those seem
to be all over. That's a picture of our
1964 1600 diesel with 2spd. Handy tractor
for sure...

They're a nice tractor, but if it's "rough to say the least",it might be a $750-800 tractor. I bought a narrow front gas a few years back that was in pieces. I bought it for parts at an auction. I gave $600 for that one. A year ago there was a one owner diesel narrow front on an estate sale. I was prepared to go to $2000-2500,but the steering hydramotor was bad. I ran it to $1500. It brought $1600. The day I bought that one for $600,there was a wide front gas on the same sale that brought $1600. I quit at $1500 on that one too.
