4-150 Doing What It Does

Thought I was done chiseling for the year already but picked up another 9 acres from a neighbor that is downsizing. Had to run the Glenco over it since it was still in standing corn stalks, so the 150 got to stretch before its workout on the soil finisher. Finally dried out enough yesterday to get it done. Last pic is from taking the 77 on a little joy ride this afternoon to get a wagon load of starter fertilizer. The guys at the Helena always get a kick out of these old girls running across the scale.

I got the oat ground plowed. I spread fertilizer this morning. Don't know if I'll start planting tomorrow or Saturday.

Looks the 150 does nice job pulling the Glenco. How many shanks is your soil saver 9? It is still to wet and cold here to get any field work done or even started. Guys are going to be way behind this year around here. There's snow in the forecast for Saturday night into Sunday am here.
One more thing where is the T at? Resting? Lol!!

I'm still up in the air. Going to a plow day tomorrow and I was thinking of coming home from that and running the finisher then planting Sunday. The extended forecast just keeps putting me on edge about jumping the gun. They keep talking about all these warm ups then they keep taking all the warm days out of the forecast. Was supposed to be around 70 most of this coming week as of yesterday then this morning they knocked it down to most of the week around 60 with some rain and pretty chilly nights. I don't know, guess a guy has to pull the trigger here at some point.

You'll like it. They are a nice driving tractor, they just ride a little on the rough side. I've got to get a clutch in mine this summer. It slips once it gets warmed up.
