This is ask the experts day. I am looking at an Oliver 1450 that is some distance away. The owner does not seem to know much about it as she inherited it so I thought that I would ask the folks on this forum for advice. Did this model Oliver come with power steering as standard? Is this model one that was made in the US or one of those last years foreign made ones? Would it have been originally a 12 volt system?

Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

It was one of the earlier Fiat built Olivers not a lot of parts support for sure.I have a 1450 4WD bought it more as a collector item than something I use, although I use it sometimes
around the farm. They are big old unhandy tractors takes about 1/2 acre to turn it around but I like the old beast. The next model up was the 1465 I have one of those and use it right much mostly to pull a 10ft bush hog much improved over the 1450.I wouldn't pay much for a 1450 that was unknown condition.

On the steering all I have seen have power assisted steering but make sure the steering box seems to be OK as it is about impossible to find parts for that steering box.I got my
1450 4WD cheap because the owner couldn't find steering parts.I have 2 1450 parts tractors so it worked fine for me.

It was 12 volt and like a lot of tractors from Europe the batteries are in front of the radiator. 7 speed forward, good on fuel!
