Is this a Oliver super 88??

have found a oliver not sure on what model it is the spec number is 28-0021 Serial number is 49 920-801. Is it a super 88 or what model is it. also will it steer without power steering pump working. I tired to turn it sitting still and it wont turn. so not sure what all that is about
 
I forgot to add the changes in the Super 88 tractors were after S/N 49 250 so it should have key start and the big battery door on the hood. It should also have red wheel + other things.
 
the tractor runs but it wouldn't steer the pump was dry will It steer without the pump working or even on there, if it wont what are we looking at for problems . any ideas what its worth no battery cover or side shields has 1 set of external hydraulics looks like it can have another set of hydraulics.
 
Wide front or narrow? A non power steering front end will bolt right on. If it's a narrow front,you should be able to get one for a song. They steered easy enough with the manual steer front end. If it was me,that'd be the route I'd go if there was anything wrong that cost more to repair than the other front end would cost.
 
I wouldn't walk away from it if the price was right. Are you bent on having a wide front on it? You'd have to pay a little more for a manual steer wide front than for a narrow,but still it's a more than viable option. It might just need fluid. You didn't say if you checked that or not.
I can tell you first hand that they'll steer without the pump,but they wander real bad. You don't really steer them without it,you just kind of herd them in a general direction.
