I guess I should have posted this on restoration. but thought you guys may like to see it. I got this from Eastwood using it to strip down some sheet metal. and man it works good and fast.

Looks like a good tool. I had similar success using my angle grinder with a red fibre pad. I saw a youtube that mentioned using a car polisher, looks like an angle grinder, but has a
variable speed to slow down the pad. Good idea.

SCT stands for Surface conditioning tool. They make several different drums for it , different grits and even a brush. I have been using their abrasive drum and it really eats the stuff. I stipped down the panels on that 770 in like 5 min. a side. Their big selling point is it does not heat up the panel . that could warp it. I just looked and the price is $200 plus the drums. The drums are pricey but seem to last a while. I have done the hood and all the side panels on a 770 and gas tank on super 55 and still have a lot of life left.
The biggest down side I see is the drums are specific to the tool. So will always be at the mercy of eastwood for replacement drums. They have a lot of videos on it on their website. It was nice to get something that works as advertised.

I should also say , I have the scale drum that comes with it.
Not to impressed with it. was hoping to be able to use is instead of wire wheel on some rims it didn't do that great. will try it on a few other things but really wasn't as aggressive as I would like.
